New AI learning tools for Google search and Gemini

Google challenges OpenAI, Knowt and Gauth with new learning features

Google is expanding its Search and Gemini platforms with innovative, AI-powered learning tools designed to provide targeted support to students in their everyday academic lives. New features include interactive 3D simulations for visualizing complex scientific concepts as well as the automated generation of mock exams and summaries from uploaded documents.

With Google Lens, students can take photos of physical homework assignments to get step-by-step explanations and error analyses. In the Gemini app, a new learning hub pools resources such as note cards and research reports, which can even be browsed using voice commands. With this initiative, the company is positioning itself as a direct competitor to other AI providers in the education sector.

The goal is to create a personalized learning environment that makes knowledge acquisition more efficient through generative technology.
