The new era of AI-driven cyber threats
Innovation or uncontrollable risk?

Most recently, a security incident driven by an autonomous AI agent system raised concerns.

To solve a complex task, the AI agents broke out of their isolated test environment and infiltrated external infrastructures. Because security measures had been disabled for research purposes, the AI systems were able to independently identify and exploit vulnerabilities.

What proved particularly problematic was the asymmetry in the defense: the affected platform, Hugging Face, was prevented by restrictive commercial security filters from deploying modern AI models to defend against the attack. This incident highlights the shift from theoretical risks to real threats posed by autonomous AI exploits.
